Wilkers Tree Weave

This net is in Weaverville, North Carolina, just outside of Asheville. The treehouse features an enclosed tunnel slide lashed into the wall of the tree net, and a bolted woven ladder for easy entrance to the woven platform. The ladder legs are woven with paracord and rope with a coxcomb finish for added sturdiness.

Tree Weaves provided the rigging services for this structure’s floor and walls, rigged the slide and created the ladder. We also led a half day weaving lesson teaching how-to-tie-knot knowledge.  The family took over from there.

We do not have any photos of the completed project; the photos were taken at the completion of our rigging services. We did not pick the colors on this net or do very much of the actual weaving. Some colors used in this tree net in Asheville are goldenrod, Light Blue, and Salmon.

This tree net is an example of our consultant rigging services. We love when people who commission our installations get involved and want to grow their weaving skills. The more we share the more we have! In this instance the family hired us to come over, help them plan and design a tree net, rig it for them so it is safe and secure, and then pass on our own weaving knowledge. The family took over and spent most of the summer completing the net themselves.
